Samurai Blue (サムライ・ブルー) — the nickname of Japan's national team. A name built on discipline, structure, and collective strength, inspired by the legacy of the samurai.

The blue itself is a mystery. The flag is red and white — but the team has worn blue for as long as anyone remembers. Some say it's the sea. Others say it traces back to the first university team to dominate Japanese football. No one really knows.
